I was having the problem that when the computer booted, widgets showed as loaded in the Widget Manager, but were not visable. The weather widget canvas would show but only listed my city, nothing else. So I uninstalled everything, deleted remaining folders, cleaned the registry, and reinstalled. Rebooted, and everything worked!. I think tonight is my second reboot since re-installing the software and it is back to the same problem. How can I track down what the problem is?

Bump.

I sure would like to be able have the widgets load and work properly on boot up. Can anybody help me track down the problem?

Did you clear the cache?

Yes. I usually use the Widget Manager to clear the widget cache. I can then load the widgets and they work fine. After 1 or 2 reboots they are back to not loading properly.

Ok, so I am testing again. I cleared my widget cache and loaded silica calendar and set it to load upon boot-up. I rebooted once and it loaded fine. On the second re-boot I get the message: "dxwidget.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience."

I got no clue. Myabe somebody with one will come along.

something to try: import the widget in, then export it out.

I know that worked for me on a widget that told me I had an earlier version of DTX when I had the latest version.

Does any one know how I can get Stardock to help me find the problem?

Have you sent an email to support@stardock.com? That should get you a response to your problem.
